America Recycles Day: D.I.Y. Planters!
About this Event
Celebrate America Recycles Day with us at the MLK, Jr. Learning Garden!
Give a second life to an empty container by turning it into a planter! Bring a clean, empty plastic or thin metal container, such as a water or soda bottle, yogurt tub, or food container, and our team will help transform it into a new home for your plants.🪴♻️
We will have a decoration station available if you would like to decorate your new planter.
⚠️ Please bring only clean containers. Avoid containers that held hazardous materials, as residues may affect plant health.
Our team will do our best to add drainage holes making items planters, and assist with creating hanging planters if requested. We will also be providing free compost from O-Town Compost in each planter while supplies last.
Come learn how everyday items can be reused in new ways and celebrate the power of recycling with us!
Feel free to reach out to [email protected] with any questions or concerns! 🦚
