The weekend begins on Saturday, August 1, with the opening celebration for the Eighth Annual Veterans Art Exhibition at historic Monthaven Mansion. This inspiring exhibition, FOR THE LOVE OF LIBERTY, features nationally acclaimed contemporary artist Tim Yanke, whose bold interpretations of the American flag explore patriotism and service. The exhibition also showcases legendary Nashville designer Manuel's custom jackets celebrating the original thirteen states, along with Revolutionary War-inspired paintings by Gallatin artist Don Olea, whose military-themed artwork has earned national recognition.
On Sunday, August 2, continue the celebration at beautiful Bagsby Ranch in Gallatin for our annual Boots & BBQ Fundraiser benefiting the Between the Lines Healing Arts Program. This free therapeutic arts program serves military veterans and active-duty service members throughout Middle Tennessee by providing creative outlets that promote healing, connection, and community.
The afternoon features a delicious barbecue dinner, live and silent auctions, inspiring stories, and live entertainment from America's Got Talent finalist and Marine Corps veteran Sal Gonzalez. The keynote address will be presented by Dr. Michael Hamilton, Army veteran, educator, and executive with Label 22 Recording & Management.
Celebrate freedom, honor those who have served, and help provide healing through the arts for our nation's veterans.
Tickets: $75 per person and include admission to both events.
