Carmel celebrates America 250 honoring our historic legacy as a country founded on religious freedom. On June 24th at 5:30 pm, we explore the meaning of our national motto “In God We Trust”, since its adoption and from the diverse perspectives of faith traditions represented in our community today.Please join us for a moderated informational panel discussion bringing the history of our nation and our city together.Our esteemed panel features:

  • Dr. Samuel Young, Assistant Professor of History at Indiana Wesleyan University
  • David Sklar, Executive Director of the Indianapolis Jewish Community Relations Council
  • Dr. Shrividya Karthik, Hindu Temple of Central Indiana Member
