Next, Aaron Copland considered to be the “father” of American music, composed one of the most enduring works in the years after the war, Appalachian Springs. And finally, a symphony that represents all that America has to offer, composed while Antonín Dvořák was in the country and fascinated by its style and cultures. Symphony No. 9, from the New World, is an American composition from another perspective.
