• History Presentations – Join author and historian Doug Alderson as he explores Florida’s unique history, environment and cultural heritage.
• Community History Connections – Meet representatives from local organizations preserving Sarasota County’s history and learn how to explore your own connections to the past.
• Hands-On Activities for All Ages – Help create a collaborative community quilt reflecting on Sarasota County’s role in America’s history.
• Community Celebration – Enjoy live music, cookies, dirty sodas, the Pop-Up Library and a full day of family-friendly activities.
Whether you're a lifelong resident, a history enthusiast or simply curious about the stories that shaped our community, there’s something for everyone.
