AMBER Mental Health & Wellness Walk at The Wrekin

For generations, women have been the backbone of our families, communities, and workplaces. We are the organisers, caregivers, listeners, and problem-solvers. We give our time, energy, and attention freely to everyone else—but when was the last time you gave that same care to yourself?

Between careers, raising children, supporting ageing parents, managing households, and meeting cultural expectations, taking time for ourselves can feel like a luxury. Within many South Asian communities, conversations around mental health have often remained behind closed doors, leading many to carry stress, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion in silence.

The reality is that self-care is not selfish. It is essential. Looking after your mental health is a sign of strength.

This September, AMBER invites women from across the Midlands to step away from the pressures of daily life, breathe fresh air, and reconnect.

More than just a hike, this wellness walk is an opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, and spend time with a supportive community of women who truly understand the demands of modern life.

• Meaningful Conversation: We will be continuing the vital discussions sparked at AMBERfest 2026 and our "Together we Talk" initiatives, taking those supportive dialogues out into the fresh air.
• A Supportive Space: Whether you are a student facing academic pressure, a professional balancing work, a busy mother, or a carer supporting loved ones—this space is for you.
• Walking for a Cause: We are proud to use this walk to raise vital funds for Cysters, a fantastic charity committed to breaking down systemic barriers around menstrual, mental, maternal, and menopausal health inequalities.
