WSRE PBS will host Pensacola’s third annual Amazing Kids Day for families affected by autism with a very special guest: Carl the Collector! Introduced last fall, Carl is the first autistic lead character in a PBS KIDS television series. He pays great attention to detail and loves collecting things! Amazing Kids Day is a free, sensory-friendly event designed for children with special needs to explore fun and educational activities. At the same time, parents and caregivers can learn about some of the local family resources available to them.
This year's participants include ABLE United, The Arc Gateway, Autism Pensacola, Canine Companions, Escambia Amateur Astronomers Association, FDLRS Emerald Coast Child Find, Pensacola Little Theatre, Pensacola Symphony, United Healthcare, Western Panhandle Early Steps, and West Florida Public Libraries.
Amazing Kids Day is sponsored in part by ABLE United, Aaron Erskine, United Healthcare, and Jacque Falzone.
