PRESS RELEASE
Amateur World Football Cup Announces Historic England vs Africa Fixture
The Amateur World Football Cup is proud to announce a historic football event that will bring together talented amateur players from different backgrounds for an unforgettable occasion.
On 11th July 2026, the first-ever England vs Africa 7.15 pm kick off. Amateur World Football Cup fixture will take place at Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field, Spalding Stadium. This groundbreaking event is set to become a major milestone in amateur football and a platform for undiscovered talent to shine on the world stage.
Founded by Stephen Williams and Kristina Zylyte, the Amateur World Football Cup was created with one clear vision — to give male and female footballers a second chance in the game they love most. The organisation aims to provide opportunities for talented players who may have previously been overlooked, while creating pathways into the professional game.
The majority of Amateur World Football Cup fixtures will also be streamed live, allowing football scouts, managers, coaches, and supporters from around the world to witness the talent on display.
Stephen Williams said:
"We believe there are thousands of talented footballers across the world who simply need an opportunity. If we can help open five doors and create five new professional football players through the Amateur World Football Cup, that would be a dream come true. Somewhere out there is another Pele, Messi, or Ronaldo just waiting for a second chance."
Kristina Zylyte added:
"This is more than football. It is about unity, opportunity, and giving players hope and belief again. We want to continue growing this event every two or three years and eventually bring even more countries into the competition."
The Amateur World Football Cup is now actively looking for:
- Talented male and female players who wish to represent their country- Qualified football managers and coaches with badges who want the opportunity to showcase their vision and leadership- Sponsors for football kits and event support
Sponsoring companies will have their branding displayed on team shirts and promoted across all Amateur World Football Cup social media platforms.
If you believe you have what it takes to play football for your country, manage a national amateur side, sponsor the event, or enter a country into future competitions, please get in touch via WhatsApp:

The Amateur World Football Cup hopes to inspire communities, unite cultures through football, and create life-changing opportunities for players around the world.
