Attention Veterans and Patriotic Placer County Residents! 🇺🇸Mark your calendars for January 4, 2025, as we kick off an incredible new tradition—our First Ever Ruck March, hosted by the "Veterans of Placer County", Facebook group! Let’s step out with pride, honor, and visibility, showing our community and ourselves that we don't need a special holiday to represent the legacy of service and the values we hold dear.
Why Here, Why Now?
Placer County's iconic "Welcome" sign declares it loud and clear: "Where we honor our veterans." On this day, we’ll bring those words to life in a way that is unmistakably patriotic. Let’s embody what it means to honor service, inspire unity, and invite others to join in this growing tradition.
The Plan
When: Meet at 1:00 PM in the field near the parking lot across from Yard House.
Step-Off Time: 1:15 PM sharp.
Route: A 2.7-mile march, heading down to the Roseville Pkwy and Pleasant Grove intersection, circling back at the Galleria and Fountains of Roseville intersection.
Suit Up, Gear Up, Represent!
If you still have your old uniform, dust it off and wear it for old times' sake! Grab a molle pack if you have one, or simply bring yourself. To keep things nonpartisan yet deeply patriotic, we encourage you to carry any of these flags:
✅The American Flag
✅The California State Flag
✅The Prisoner of War Flag
✅Any U.S. Military Branch Flag
A March with Purpose:
This is more than a march; it’s a statement—and a start. Our goal is to grow this community, raising awareness for veterans, their families, and patriotic organizations that make a difference. By joining us, you’re also helping spotlight future initiatives like fundraisers and partnerships with incredible groups such as the Moose Lodge, Blue Star Moms, Sgt. Nicole Gee Memorial Foundation, VFW, American Legion, and many others who support service and sacrifice.

This is the beginning of something big—a tradition that will grow with every step we take. Join us on January 4th to set the tone, lead the way, and inspire others to follow in our footsteps. Together, we’ll show that pride for service and love for country is alive and thriving 365 days a year.
