Always Children First Child Safeguarding Foundation Training

Children First Foundation Training 2026.

This is open to all staff working in Early Years and there is no limit per service on bookings.

The programme may be offered to all educators in ELC and SAC services, with priority for training places given in the following order:

1. Providers of Relevant Services who have never attending the training.

2. DLP/DDLP in services who have never attended the training Training.

3. DLP/DDLP who have not attended training in the last 5yrs and who wish to avail of Designated Liaison Persons Training.

4. Mandated persons who have never attended training.

5. All workers who have not completed the programme in more than five years.

It is a first come first service basis.

This is a 6-hour course.

29th April 2026 from 13:30-20:00pm.

Cost €15pp. Light meal is included in the cover charge.

Requirements:

1. You must be currently working for a childcare service.
2. Have completed the TUSLA E-Learning Programme: Introduction to Children’s First and Tusla E-learning Mandated Programme. These will need to be dated within the last year for example April 2025 until date of training.
3. A copy of your completion certs should be emailed to [email protected] before acceptance on the course.

Important information:

If you and/or any of your DLP or Deputy DLPs in your service want to avail of DLP specific training in early 2026 you need to have completed Aways Children First Foundation Training - 6 hrs in person with any County Childcare Committee within the last five years and a place for you will be prioritised on this course if necessary.
