About this Event
Join fellow Communication Arts and School of Journalism and Mass Communication alumni for an evening of connection in Chicago at Lottie’s Pub.
We’ll kick things off at 5 p.m. with hosted food and drinks. Then settle in for a lively conversation, “How We Got Here: Badgers on Building Careers in Advertising, Communications & Media” featuring Matthew Tauber, COO of Publicis Center Services at Publicis Group, the world’s largest communications group, and Matt Traub, President and COO of DKC, a communications and marketing agency powerhouse. Together, they’ll trace their paths from UW to leadership in brands and communications, sharing how their careers evolved alongside a changing media landscape.
After the discussion, alumni will have the opportunity to connect and network with members of the Communication Arts CAPS Board and SJMC Board of Visitors, as well as with fellow Badgers across industries.
We look forward to welcoming you for a great evening of insight, conversation and connection!
Matt Traub is chief operating officer and president of DKC, where he oversees multiple divisions and leads work across technology, media, and crisis management, representing major brands including Airbnb, Uber, Bloomberg, Yahoo, BMW, and Sesame Workshop. Before joining DKC, Traub spent nearly a decade on Capitol Hill working for Reps. Nita Lowey, Henry Waxman, and Thomas Downey, and he is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison's School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
