ALTUS Running: Beat The Clock (Pace Jam 2.0)

Join us at Costello Stadium for a very special track event. Race alongside our growing community of runners, this time as a solo-runner in a new race format, where for each lap, you’ll need to beat the clock.
How it works:

• Runners must complete each lap (400m of the track) in the alloted time
• Runners have 90 seconds rest between each lap
• After each lap, 5 seconds will be knocked off the clock
• There are 25 laps on offer to runners (which is the equivalent of 10km)

For example:

• Lap 1 = 3:05 (pace @ 7:42/km)
• Lap 2 = 3:00 (pace @ 7:30/km)
• Lap 3 = 2:55 (pace @ 7:18/km)
• Lap 4 = 2:50 (pace @ 7:05/km)
• Lap 5 = 2:45 (pace @ 6:53/km)

The goal:

• How many laps can you complete?
• Can anyone Beat The Clock?

What to expect:
This time the Beat The Clock Pace Jam is all about consistency, endurance + pushing yourself further than you thought possible.

Whether you’ve set a distance target or just want to see what happens on the day, you’ll be cheered on by the ALTUS Running community every step of the way.

Expect high energy, a competitive edge + proper race-day atmosphere from start to finish, with a DJ, refreshments + more.
