"Sonic Pictures" is sure to be an electrifying musical experience, with John Adams setting the tone with his exhilarating "Short Ride in a Fast Machine!" Vibrant paintings come to life through the dynamic orchestration of Mussorgsky’s "Pictures at an Exhibition" followed by a powerful performance of Aaron Copland’s "Lincoln Portrait," narrated by Carolyn Donaldson. This concert will also feature Lee Hinkle playing the Kevin Puts Marimba Concerto.
A pre-concert lecture with Timothy Melbinger will be held from 6:30-7:00PM in the theatre.
