About this Event
What it covers: While philanthropy can be catalytic capital in the beginning, many organizations struggle to plan for growth and sustainability in the face of ever-changing funder strategies and priorities. To ensure diverse and sustainable revenue, it's important for organizations to think about ways they can sell products or services as well as explore innovative capital.
Objectives: Come learn from organizations who are going "beyond philanthropy" and what's working and what isn't. Learn about diverse revenue options and create an action plan to explore alternative capital and new revenue generating initiatives at your nonprofit.
Key takeaways: Understand what types of capital are available to you beyond philanthropy, craft an action plan to launch 1 or 2 ideas, workshop the ideas with attendees in the room, pitch Alyssa your new idea for feedback.
Tools & strategies offered:
- Alternative revenue action plan
- Sample non-extractive loan terms to explore
- Sample business plan for productizing
Intended audience: Development Director & Executive Director Level
About the Presenter: Alyssa Wright is the Founder and CEO of Wright Collective, a community of consultants committed to mobilizing resources for social change. Having spent time as a human rights activist in Eastern Europe and Africa, Alyssa brings over a decade of experience in international philanthropy and fundraising to Wright Collective.
