Alternative Firing: Obvara or Horse Hair
Advertisement
Obvara is an Ancient Baltic technique for sealing pottery. We pull our piece out of the kiln while it is still hot and submerge it into a fermented batter and then dunk it in water. The batter burns a pattern into the piece. Every single piece will be different. This technique is Beautiful and Fun! You will also have the option of doing Horse Hair Raku. Space is limited. You will need to prepay in order to ensure a spot. The cost of the class is $40 and includes everything. Paypal.me/gratefulgardens
