This is a 2 part Alternative Firing Class. In this first class we will learn how to Clean, Burnish and Incise a greenware (unfired clay) Pillow Vase and prepare it for a Barrel Burn on Saturday the 25th. Burnishing the clay before firing Creates a smooth, buttery surface on the vase. By working with the greenware before it's fired to bisque (fired clay) you are able to customize it however you like. In the second class you will have an assortment of substances to Create Color when fired in the Barrel. There is No Glaze used in this process. Space is limited.
