Altered States is an immersive evening where paintings are created live, music shapes the creative process, and the boundaries between exhibition, performance and participation begin to disappear.
Explore visionary artworks inspired by rave culture and altered states of consciousness. Watch a live painting performance, experience a guided Techno Painting session, enjoy DJ sets throughout the evening, and connect with people who share a love for creativity, music and new perspectives.

Behind Altered States is Techno Painting, an artistic practice created by Berlin artist Dina Shneider following a transformative experience on the dance floor of Berghain over a decade ago. Combining movement, rhythm, intuition and techno music as creative tools, Techno Painting explores the relationship between sound, perception and visual expression.
Over the past ten years, Dina has performed Techno Painting live at some of Berlin's most iconic venues, including KitKat Club, Sisyphos, Ritter Butzke, as well as galleries, festivals and cultural spaces throughout the city. In 2018, she founded the Techno Painting Workshop, an acclaimed creative experience that has received more than 470 five-star reviews across multiple booking platforms.
