Join for a book and art immersive experience using hardback books and art supplies for an alternative journaling project.
Bristol Books & Bindery partners with Healing Thyme Studio for a book and art immersive experience; participants will use hardback books and art supplies to transform the book into a fun, alternative journal. Lead by an art therapist, this group is designed to be an additional tool for self care and a therapuetic space. No therapy will be provided, but group will explore themes to create about each group. Your fee for group includes materials like: the hardback book, magazines and collage materials (glue, scissors), stickers, washi tape, paint and painting supplies, and drawing supplies. No verbal process of your art making is necessary.
As an open group, you can come and go to any classes you wish to attend. Your books will be yours to take with you after your first class and you may continue to work on them as you want. Group is offered as a creative space to explore similar themes or topics alongside people around you or on your own. Supplies will be provided for each class you attend.
A private shopping experience will also be offered in Bristol Books & Bindery complementary to group members. Stay for the duration of the group creating art, or leave as you feel fit to your schedule. Bring snacks or grab a bite to eat with friends before or after group ends.
Purchase a ticket to attend the group or pay with cash at the door. All are welcome!
