Come gather in the Highfield Trinity nave to mark the darkest of days and longest of nights in these challenging times. Come summon the sun back around... We'll start with a showcase performance from Resonate Sheffield community gamelan project, sharing some of the sounds the group has been exploring over the autumn term using the Javanese gamelan based in the church hall.
This will be followed by a bit of experiment... an extended, solstice themed long form open group improvisation!
You are invited to join on the gamelan for this, participate in some other way - moving, singing, playing other instruments if you'd like to bring them... or just enjoy.
Plus solstice sounds from DJ Kalinka and friends.
After the gamelan session some simple tasty food will be served - bring extra food / snacks to share if you like.

Resonate Sheffield is a local community hub of Good Vibrations, a national charity supporting people and bringing people together through communal music-making across the UK in prisons, secure hospitals and in the community.
