Alpine Public Library Artwalk Silent Auction
Advertisement
Find something you love and help the Alpine Public Library.
Every Artwalk, the library fills a room with donated art and one-of-a-kind finds, and this year that room is the Granada Theatre. Step in off Holland Avenue between gallery stops, take your time at the tables, and put your bidder number down on the pieces you can't walk away from.
The silent auction is the library's biggest fundraiser of the year, and every dollar raised supports library operations. Almost half of the library's annual budget comes from the community through donations, fundraisers and Re-Reads sales. Past auctions have included original artwork, jewelry, gift baskets, handmade crafts and plenty of things you won't find anywhere else.
How it works:
• Free to enter. Browse and bid Friday 10 AM to 10 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 8 PM. Bidder numbers are available starting Friday morning, and you bid with your number instead of your name.
• Every item has a walk-away price you can pay to take it with you on the spot, and there's a "buy it now" section too.
• Bidding closes Saturday at 8 PM, and winning bid numbers are posted outside by 9 PM.
• Pay and pick up Saturday until 10 PM or Sunday from 10 AM to 1 PM. Cash, card or check.
• Wine and beer wheelbarrow drawings: tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.
Have something to donate? The library is still taking new or gently used art, jewelry, books, handmade crafts, antiques and other unique items (no clothing, please). Bring them to the library at 805 W Avenue E through November 19, Monday to Friday 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 1 PM, or to the Granada November 17 to 20.
Make a weekend of it: plan your Artwalk route, see the schedule and meet this year's featured artist at https://www.artwalkalpine.com. Alcove Social is right next door, with live music both days.
