Register online at https://maineshakers.com/event/alpaca-peg-loom-5/This rug weaving class will teach the basics of using a peg loom from artists and farmers Michael Stevens and Kathleen Wentworth of Notta Lotta Farm in Topsham, ME. You will pick your Alpaca Rug Yarn from their supply made of fiber from their own alpacas, as well as other Maine alpacas, and blended with wool at a local Maine mill. The yarns have a center core of cotton to add strength and are in lovely natural colors. You will go home with a new fantastically fun skill and a completed, beautiful, luxurious Alpaca Rug that is one of a kind. The softest rug!
Approximate finished rug size is 20″ × 34″ (plus fringe) rectangle
All supplies will be provided to make weave your own unique rug and Mike & Kathy will have additional supplies of their handmade peg looms and super-soft alpaca fiber available to purchase so that you can stock up to keep on weaving and creating at home.
