In „almost finished“ arbeitet Caroline Simon gemeinsam mit internationalen etablierten Tanzkünstler:innen in Workshop- und Performance-Formaten, die die Improvisationskunst in den Mittelpunkt stellen. „almost finished“ lädt Teilnehmer:innen und Publikum gleichermaßen ein, neugierig in die Welt dieser spontanen Kunst einzutauchen und sich überraschen zu lassen.
Am 28. Juni 2026 ist der Performer, Choreograf und Improvisationskünstler Angus Balbernie aus England/Schottland zu Gast.
ℹ️ In diesem zweistündigen Workshop setzen wir uns mit der Frage auseinander, ob das Betrachten von Improvisation dem Erleben einer Landschaft gleicht. Nach all den Jahren ist mir klar geworden, dass man Improvisation genauso betrachten muss, wie man eine Landschaft anschaut. Es geht um Austausch, um das Eintauchen – sowohl körperlich als auch wahrnehmungsmäßig – sowie um Formen der Kartierung.
Wie können wir Landschaft inszenieren? Wie soll sich der Körper bewegen, wenn man ihn als Regen betrachtet? Wir beschäftigen uns mit Ideen rund um Körperlichkeit und Vorstellungskraft und erkunden den improvisierenden Körper, so wie wir eine Landschaft erkunden würden.

ℹ️ This workshop explores the question of whether observing improvisation is similar to experiencing a landscape. After all these years, it’s become clear to me that improvisation must be viewed the way one views a landscape. It’s a question of exchange, of immersion – physically and perceptually – and of the forms of mapping.
So how can we perform landscape? How should the body move when it’s viewed as rain? This workshop explores ideas surrounding physicality and imagination, investigating the improvising body in the same way we would explore a landscape …
