Camille Bertault

After training at the conservatory, Camille Bertault obtains a classical piano prize, and studies opera, theatre and dance at the conservatory of Nice. At the age of 20, she writes, edits and performs in plays for children. Inspired by a father who loves jazz, she studies vocal jazz and improvisation at the Conservatoire de Paris. In 2016, She is spotted by a New York label, Sunnyside Records, which distributes her first album “Envie” and makes her discover the New York jazz scene. There she meet Dan Tepfer, Michael Leonhart, Jeff Ballard, and Joe Sanders with whom, under Sony France, she records her second album in 2018, “Pas de Géant”, which receives superb press . Camille then tours around the world and releases her 3rd album, “Le Tigre” at Sony in 2020, then “Playground” collaboration with David helbock with ACT. In 2023, her fifth album “Bonjour Mon Amour” is released on artist collective label “Vita” and she wins “Les Victoires du jazz”.

Almanaque

Led by Italian-born, London-based guitarist Luca Boscagin, Almanaque is an international ensemble bringing together outstanding musicians from Brazil, Italy and the UK. Inspired by the music of Milton Nascimento, Clube da Esquina and the tradition of Brazilian jazz, the band blends lyrical melodies, sophisticated harmonies and infectious rhythms into a vibrant contemporary sound.

At the heart of the group is a powerful Brazilian rhythm section featuring Matheus Nova (bass), Raphael Delfino (drums) and Jansen Santana (percussion), whose deep connection to Brazil’s rhythmic language provides the foundation for Almanaque’s music. Joined by acclaimed trumpeter Quentin Collins, the ensemble creates a dynamic dialogue between Brazilian, African and jazz influences, combining virtuosity with warmth, spontaneity and collective interplay.

Their latest album, Nada Para O Carnaval, released on Ubuntu Music, has received widespread acclaim. A regular presence on the international jazz scene, Boscagin has performed at Ronnie Scott’s on numerous occasions and has opened for artists including Eliane Elias, Mike Stern, Azymuth and Ivan Lins.

From uplifting samba grooves and Afro-Brazilian rhythms to evocative ballads and expansive improvisation, Almanaque delivers an immersive and joyful live experience, celebrating the energy and spirit of contemporary Brazilian music.
