The talented Alma College Choir from Michigan will be performing a range of classical, spiritual and traditional songs for mixed voices by Brahms, Haydn, Bernstein and many more.

Alma College Choir is the most advanced choral ensemble at Alma College in Alma, Michigan. It is open to all undergraduate students interested in singing a wide variety of challenging repertoire. The choir personnel consist of students who come from diverse backgrounds and a variety of majors. They perform multiple concerts each semester, along with additional performances on campus and in the community, which usually includes an arrangement of “Loch Lomond,” the choir’s traditional song sung at graduation. Alma College Choir performs on tour regularly throughout the United States; they have previously performed on international tours in Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, and Norway.
Located in the heart of mid-Michigan, Alma College is a small, private liberal arts school that is nationally recognized for its elite educational programs. Rooted in Scottish heritage since 1886, the Alma College Choir has maintained a central role in the culture of the college and continues to embrace the Scottish heritage of the community, including donning the official Alma College tartan, which is shipped from Scotland and has been officially registered since 1999. As you drive into the town of Alma, you’ll even see a sign that reads “Scotland, U.S.A.” The Scots who attend college at Alma value personal relationships, quality education, and leading impactful lives.
