💬 About the EventAcross the country, immigrant communities—especially queer and trans people—are disproportionately impacted by harmful systems of detention, deportation, and discrimination.
This Town Hall is our response: a space for knowledge, solidarity, and joy! Together, we’ll explore how to show up as allies, protect our most vulnerable, and organize toward community safety rooted in dignity, justice, and celebration.
Hosted by the LA Queer Coalition, in partnership with Councilmember Ysabel Jurado (CD14), CHIRLA, the Connie Norman Transgender Empowerment Center, and the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles, this gathering centers queer, trans, and immigrant voices. With workshops, comedy, mariachi, and resources, we are building networks of resistance, healing, and joy.
This is more than a conversation—it’s a community celebration. And we need you in the room.
