Ally Venable w/ Alicia Maxwell Project
Formed in the summer of 2019, the Alicia Maxwell Project (opening this show!) is a 4-piece band hailing from the Delmarva area. Since coming together, the band has performed steadily at clubs and festivals, and has opened up for well-known acts, Danielle Nicole Band, Bywater Call, Vanessa Collier, Popa Chubby and John Nemeth.
Venable, a Kilgore, Texas native, Venable began singing in church at four and picked up guitar at 12, quickly forming her own band and drawing inspiration from Stevie Ray Vaughan. Early releases No Glass Shoes (2016) and Puppet Show (2018) built a growing fanbase, while 2019’s Texas Honey hit #2 on the Billboard Blues Chart and launched her onto the international stage.
She earned a spot on Guitar World’s “Young Guns” list and the Road Warrior Award from the Independent Blues Music Awards. Venable has toured extensively across the U.S. and Europe, sharing stages with legends like Buddy Guy and Joe Bonamassa.
With each release, Ally Venable continues to push modern blues forward — blending raw emotion, technical firepower, and a fearless spirit that marks her as one of the genre’s rising stars.
