Texas blues-rock singer, songwriter, and guitar powerhouse Ally Venable electrifies every stage she steps on. Known for her signature glitter dresses and black knee-high boots, Venable hits the ground swinging—whether she’s on tour or lighting up festival crowds with her fierce presence and unforgettable sound. As Guitar Player Magazine puts it: “Venable pulls off a stunner of gritty and/or sultry blues rock tunes embellished with lots of tasty guitar solos.”

A native of Kilgore, Texas, Ally began singing in church at just four years old and picked up a guitar at age 12. By 13, she had already formed her own band, fueled by early inspiration from Stevie Ray Vaughan and a deep passion for the blues. Her early releases No Glass Shoes (2016) and Puppet Show (2018) helped build a loyal following, earning radio chart success and multiple East Texas Music Awards.

Venable’s momentum exploded in 2019 with Texas Honey, which reached #2 on the Billboard Blues Chart, and her standout performances on Ruf’s European Blues Caravan, launching her career onto the international stage. Blues artist Mike Zito declared, “Ally is the future of blues and the crossover music of American roots-rock.”

While many artists were sidelined during the pandemic, Venable pushed forward—releasing the Billboard-charting Heart of Fire (2021), a bold, emotionally honest album exploring love, pain, and resilience. “On this album, I really wanted to create a tone of overcoming your struggles and persevering through them,” she explains. The album features mentor and guest guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd on the XM Bluesville-charting track “Bring on the Pain.”

In 2022, Guitar World Magazine named Ally #2 on its list of the Top 15 Young Guns Making the Gibson Les Paul Cool Again, and she received the Road Warrior Award from the Independent Blues Music Awards. Her band has supported major legends including Buddy Guy and Kenny Wayne Shepherd across the U.S., and Colin James in Canada. She has also appeared as a featured artist on the Experience Hendrix Show at ACL Live at the Moody Theater in Austin.
