Fernando REZK

Influenced by his grandfather, a bandoneonist from the golden age of tango in the 1940s, Fernando REZK developed a profound connection with tango music at age 9. Fernando honed his craft at “The Conservatory of Music of the Argentinian Musicians' Union†from 24, mastering the bandoneon along with harmony and composition. His career blossomed through collaboration with Daniel Melingo, recording "Ufa" in 1998-2001, and performing in over 16 countries at various international festivals and on radio and TV.

An esteemed educator since the '90s, Fernando's teaching attracted a global student body. Since 2010, his influence reached Hong Kong, featuring in RTHK interviews, workshops, and performances including the Wan Chai Street Music series and as music director for the "Festivalito de Tango en Hong Kong" (2017-2019). Recently, he recorded an online Piazzolla tribute for the Hong Kong Arts Festival and narrated "Maria de Buenos Aires" in 2022, cementing his status as a tango maestro.
