Allure Incubating Fridays is exclusive event series (Music Appreciation Workshop) presented by Allure Music Salon. Immerse yourself in a special tribute to the legendary jazz trumpeter Chet Baker. Featuring the talented Kowloon Swing Outfit, the evening promises a heartfelt reinterpretation of Baker's soulful melodies and intimate style, which have left an indelible mark on jazz.

David Batchelor, with 30 years of international experience performing in Europe and Asia, has a rich and diverse musical style that spans from classical to rock, and of course, jazz. His major influences include jazz greats like Chet Baker, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, and Clark Terry.

Toshi Horiguchi

A Tokyo native, Toshi's musical journey was ignited during his teenage years when he discovered the enchanting sounds of soul music and jazz, particularly influenced by the captivating styles of Marvin Gaye and Bill Evans.

Based in Hong Kong, Toshi adopts an adventurous approach to his crati, fearlessly delving into a wide range of musical genres that have influenced his artistic sensibilities. Through collaborations with local and international musicians, he blends diverse musical influences, resulting in performances that transcend boundaries and captivate audiences. As he continues to navigate and contribute to the dynamic music scene in Hong Kong, Toshi remains commited to exploring new horizons and establishing himself as a versatile and dynamic force within the everevolving tapestry of the city's musical landscape.

Jimmy Pitman

Jimmy Pitman, originally from Chicago, Illinois, is a bassist and educator currently based in Hong Kong. Since arriving in HK in 2012, he has been gigging consistently on both bass guitar and upright bass. He has gained a reputtion as a first call player for his fluency in numerous styles and tasteful accompaniment.

Jimmy has performed recently at the 2023 Make Music Festival, 2021 Hong Kong West Kowloon Jazz Festival, the 2019 Hangzhou “Jazz On The Lake” International Jazz Festival, the 2019 “Art Of Crati” crati beer festival at the HK Asia Society, and the 2018 HK International Jazz Festival.

原籍美國伊利諾伊州芝加哥的Jimmy Pitman，是一位低音大提琴兼音樂教育家，目前定居於香港。自2012年來到香港以來，他一直積極參與電貝斯和低音大提琴的演出，以其流暢的多種音樂風格和高雅的伴奏技巧而被認為是首屈一指的演奏者。Jimmy近期的演出包括2023年的香港音樂節、2021年香港西九龍爵士音樂節、2019年杭州“湖畔爵士”國際爵士音樂節、2019年香港亞洲社會“藝術與手工啤酒”節，以及2018年香港國際爵士音樂節。

CARLOS VIERA

Carlos Vieira's drumming is the rhythmic heartbeat of any musical group, effortlessly adapting from jazz to funk to pop. Originating from Lisbon, Portugal, Carlos has studied an eclectic mix of musical styles with legendary musicians in global music capitals. His career has taken him around the world, performing with pioneering artists from Portugal and beyond, and sharing his knowledge at the Hot Club Jazz School of Lisbon. His global footprint includes performances in numerous countries and residencies at luxury venues like the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong and The Ritz Carlton in Shanghai. Carlos's beats are a testament to his passion and versatility, laying down the rhythm for audiences worldwide.
