with members originally hailing from Scotland, England, Japan and Singapore. First formed in 2017, the YBQ have a classic modern jazz vocal style, performing tunes drawn from all genres of music. A Tokyo native, Toshi's musical journey was ignited during his teenage years when he discovered the enchanting sounds of soul music and jazz, particularly influenced by the captivating styles of Marvin Gaye and Bill Evans.

Based in Hong Kong, Toshi adopts an adventurous approach to his crati, fearlessly delving into a wide range of musical genres that have influenced his artistic sensibilities. Through collaborations with local and international musicians, he blends diverse musical influences, resulting in performances that transcend boundaries and captivate audiences. As he continues to navigate and contribute to the dynamic music scene in Hong Kong, Toshi remains commited to exploring new horizons and establishing himself as a versatile and dynamic force within the everevolving tapestry of the city's musical landscape.

Chiin is a versatile bassist, comfortable across genres such as jazz, funk, RnB, and pop. Originally from London, he has been living and performing in Hong Kong for the past ten years, playing at a diverse array of venues.
