The Alleghany Highlands Arts Council announces the opening performance of its 2025-26 Performing Arts Season with the internationally acclaimed "The Spirit of Scotland Show," direct from Edinburgh. This captivating evening of traditional music, dance, and culture will take place on Wednesday, October 15, at 7:00 PM at the Historic Masonic Theatre in Clifton Forge.
The Spirit of Scotland Show is a passionate celebration featuring spirited dancers, superb vocalists, and celebrated musicians who will create a vibrant blend of storytelling, choreography, and timeless Scottish classics, such as "Auld Lang Syne" and "Loch Lomond."
The evening will be enhanced by the unmistakable skirl of the bagpipes, along with the fiddle and accordion.
Traditional dances such as the ‘Highland Fling’ and the ‘Sword Dance’ are skillfully blended with specially choreographed modern routines, demonstrating how the customs of the past can be carried forward into the future.
