STAAR Theatre will present the All-STAAR Comedy Film Festival throughout February, offering affordable, family-friendly entertainment with some of the greatest comedy films ever made.The festival will screen classic comedies at 2 p.m. each Sunday in February 2026 at STAAR Theatre, 105 N. First St. Tickets are $5 per screening. Buy tickets online or at the door!

The schedule includes:
Feb. 1 – City Lights starring Charlie Chaplin
Chaplin’s beloved silent-era masterpiece blends physical comedy with deep emotion as his Little Tramp falls in love with a blind flower girl. Widely regarded as one of the greatest films ever made, City Lights showcases Chaplin’s unmatched storytelling and heart.
Feb. 8 – The General starring Buster Keaton
Set during the Civil War, this action-packed comedy features Keaton performing daring stunts on moving trains. The General is praised for its inventive visuals, precise timing and Keaton’s signature deadpan style.
Feb. 15 – Safety Last! starring Harold Lloyd
Famous for its clock-hanging finale, Safety Last! follows an ambitious young man chasing success in the big city. The screening will include live musical accompaniment by Joyce Herring, honoring the tradition of silent film exhibition.
Feb. 22 – Duck Soup starring the Marx Brothers
A fast-paced political satire, Duck Soup delivers nonstop wordplay, slapstick and absurdity. The film remains one of the Marx Brothers’ most celebrated comedies and a sharp parody that still resonates today.
