Raise Your Own Poultry Homestead Class is a hands-on educational experience designed for children and families interested in learning the basics of raising poultry on a small homestead. Participants will learn about chickens, ducks, quail, turkey, gamebirds, and waterfowl for eggs, meat, pets, and sustainable living.
Students will get to compare egg sizes, interact with live birds, and learn about daily care, feeding, breeding, housing, caging, health care, and beginner processing education in a safe and age-appropriate environment. This class is focused on building confidence, practical life skills, and a deeper understanding of homesteading and responsible animal husbandry.
