We're trying something new, and we're excited to see what happens when we open our doors on a Saturday morning.
Whether you're a longtime volunteer looking for a different way to serve, someone who's been thinking about getting involved, or part of a family or group wanting to make a difference together, this morning is designed for you. Corporate teams, friend groups, families with kids, grandparents, college students: everyone's welcome to join us for this special day of service.
Here's how we'll spend our time together:
* Serve a delicious BBQ lunch to our neighbors (huge thanks to our friends at 5Loaves and 2Turkeys for making this possible!)
* Assemble snack bags and hygiene kits that provide essential items for people who need them most
* Write uplifting notes for our neighbors because sometimes a few kind words can change someone's entire day
* Pass out treats and spend time in community connecting with the people we're here to serve
* Take a short tour to learn more about The Stewpot's mission and see the impact your service makes
Schedule:
9:30 AM – Welcome + instructions (Building 100)
9:45 AM – Stations begin + Tour #1
10:15 AM – Tour #2
10:50–11:00 AM – Wrap-up & clean-up
