About this Event
Alira Arts Development Day
Welcome to Alira Arts Development Day!
Join Alira Arts for our first ever Development Day - a practical afternoon for artists, arts workers, and small organisations who want to get serious about fundraising, audiences, and building a sustainable practice.
This isn't a conference and it isn't a networking event — not primarily. It's a half-day designed to give you something you can actually use. Practical knowledge, honest conversations, and a room full of people who get it.
WHAT'S ON
1:00–2:00pm | Prospecting Your Funders
An overview of the funding landscape, ACE, local authorities, National Lottery, trusts and foundations, major donors , and how to identify which funders are actually right for your work. With links to resources included.
2:05–3:15pm | Building an Audience - practical workshop
Tips and tools for reaching new audiences and getting them to understand and care about your work. Interactive and practical.
3:30–4:15pm | Panel Q&A - How to Sustainably Build Your Artistic Practice
A panel of working artists and arts professionals share how they've built sustainable practices - followed by 25 minutes of audience questions. Panellists to be announced.
4:15–5:15pm | Networking
Structured networking with lanyards, facilitation prompts, and space to actually connect.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
This day is for you if you're an artist, arts worker, or small arts organisation who wants practical fundraising support, whether you're just starting out or looking to grow what you've already built.
