About the Presenter
Liz VanRoss grew up working with horses in the US and the UK and spent seven years as the on-site Equine Rehabilitation Specialist and Yard General Manager at Liphook Equine Hospital.
For decades she has worked with veterinarians and equine bodyworkers and studied equine anatomy, behaviour and neurology to create “AlignmentHorse” … an approach to horse-development with which she has successfully rehabilitated hundreds of horses.
Her current focus is not only to rehabilitate horses but even more importantly to prevent occurrences and reoccurrences of debilitating equine conditions AND to help riders excel with their horses.
She works closely with horse owners and riders at all levels up to Grand Prix and 4* Eventing, to help them to work in better alignment and harmony, benefiting the horse’s mental, physical and emotional well-being.

Summary
Join Liz VanRoss at 5.30pm on Friday 22 November in Moccas Village Hall for a fun and enlightening evening. She will explain how modern science of equine anatomy requires us to change our approach to equitation. When we understand the "Laws of Locomotion", our horses can perform better and we see them improve in balance, coordination & collection, physical wellbeing and soundness as well as developing top-line and powerful hindquarters.
Liz VanRoss is happy to answer questions on your own horse's development and any training problem you have been dealing with. You are invited to enjoy a fascinating evening and, if you are intrigued, may like to then join the AlignmentHORSE weekend workshop on 23rd and 24th November (see the other 'event' listing).
Over the weekend you will learn the secrets of how to help your horse to move with ease, comfort and suspension. This is how your horse will find and maintain the elusive self-carriage that you have both been seeking. Learn to help your horse to engage harmoniously, comfortably and super-successfully, creating the best riding experience possible for both of you,

More about AlignmentHORSE
Liz VanRoss, the creator of AlignmentHORSE, is an equine locomotion specialist who has applied modern anatomical scientific knowlege to equitation. She teaches how to develop horses and transform their locomotion.
AlignmentHORSE movements are balanced and harmonious, removing the tension, torque and strains that an uneducated horse experiences in answering our demands.
Liz’s work also draws on new neurological understanding of horse brains, herd dynamics and natural instincts. It can elevate the understanding and capability of anyone in the fields of equine bodywork, dentistry, podiatry, saddle-fitting and training (riding and groundwork in every discipline).
How does AlignmentHORSE help you and your horses?
You have probably been around horses for long enough to know that sometimes a 'new' approach is just the same old story wrapped up in different words. Let's face it, a horse is "just a horse" - it has had the same basic structure and anatomy for centuries (just as human beings are basically one type of creature).
Science is constantly uncovering new aspects of anatomy and neurology, yet horse development and training remains basically the same old story even if wrapped in different words. Equitation is fundamentally the same now as it was in the 18th Century.
Since then we have lived through the Industrial Revolution, developed motorised vehicles, landed a man on the moon and can now communicate with each other on our smart phones. Isn't it time that we changed our equitation in accordance with what we now know through modern science and technology about equine anatomy, brain function and behaviour?
What Liz describes with her AlignmentHORSE approach is not just a new perspective but also a new analysis and it leads to better answers and methods (different from the traditional ones we are so used to). This is a new story.
All questions are welcome.
