Alibi Bookshop's August Memoir Book Club is going to be a little different and very special: please join us on Thursday, August 14th at 7pm to discuss "Diver" by our friend Lewis Buzbee, and he will be joining us, too!
Some of you will remember when Lewis was our special guest star when we read his memoir, "The Yellow-Lighted Bookshop," and what a treat that was! And now we're doing it again -- this time we will be reading his new novel "Diver." Yes, "Diver" isn't a memoir, but it's autobiographical, and Lewis is going to talk to us about the book, and turning memories into fiction. (He knows a thing or two or ten about that.)
So if you're a fan of Lewis, good books, family stories, or are writing (or thinking about) your memoirs, this is going to be a terrific night for you!
