The evening features original music by Ali Hossein Mahdavi, blending modern jazz with Iranian modal influences, chamber-like textures, open forms, and free improvisation.
Ali Hossein Mahdavi is a Vienna-based composer and pianist whose work moves between contemporary jazz, chamber music, and open improvisational forms. In recent years, he has presented his original projects internationally across Europe and beyond.
Uli Kleideiter is a Würzburg-based German drummer active in jazz and improvised music. Known for his highly interactive and flowing playing, he has collaborated and toured with artists including Toni Lakatos, Fola Dada, Jean-Yves Jung, Wilson De Oliveira, and the Weather Girls across numerous European projects.
Sabrina Maurer is a Vienna-based violinist and composer active between jazz, contemporary music, and folk. She leads the ensemble Fluid Quintet and received the “In Recognition of Outstanding Musicianship” award at the Berklee at Umbria Jazz Clinics 2018.
Lukas Florian is a Vienna-based double bassist and electric bassist working between contemporary jazz, free improvisation, and metal. Over the past two years, he has performed extensively with Ali Hossein Mahdavi in various European countries.
