About this Event
Alexis DePaolo earned her Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from Indiana University in 2023, where she studied under Brandon Vamos, the cellist of the Pacifica String Quartet. Currently residing in Asheville, NC, she performs with various orchestras, including the Western Piedmont Symphony. In 2019, Alexis placed second in the Grand Teton Music Festival’s Donald Runnicles Scholarship Competition. She also won the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra’s Collegiate Young Artist Competition and performed with the WSO in March 2022. Before leaving Casper, Alexis sang in the Casper Children’s Chorale and participated in orchestra programs. A proud alumnus of the Interlochen Arts Academy, she graduated in 2019. Alexis is honored to be joined by her brother for this collaborative program, which will feature a variety of musical styles and genres.
Evan DePaolo is pursuing his Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying under Jacob Nissly, the principal percussionist of the San Francisco Symphony. He previously attended the University of Denver, where he performed with the wind ensemble and orchestra. In 2024, Evan won the top prize at the Donald Runnicles Scholarship Competition, sponsored by the Grand Teton Music Festival, receiving a generous scholarship. Evan sang in the Casper Children’s Chorale and played in school band programs. He was selected for the All-Northwest Band and was the timpanist for the 2024 Wyoming All-State Orchestra. He is grateful to his former percussion instructors in Casper, including Ryan Bell and Dr. Eugenie Burkett, for laying the foundation of his passion for percussion.
