Alex Pangman grew up a couple of generations late to have sung with Benny Goodman but the vibrant vocalist is known as Canada's Sweetheart of Swing. The JUNO nominee and JAZZ.FM91 host possesses the requisite taste & talent to breathe new life into the sturdy songs of the 1930s when she sings with her Alleycats quintet.While facets of Ella Fitzgerald and Bing Crosby can be found in Alex's zesty delivery, that crisp clear voice is unequivocally her own. A superb song stylist, Alex has a loyal fanbase from her critically acclaimed work and performances across Canada, having performed at Koerner Hall with John Pizzarelli, Massey Hall opening for Willie Nelson, at stages like the Reservoir Lounge, or playing for swing dancers everywhere.Her Alleycats are crackerjack musicians who also love the musical style and bring it to life with their expertise.
