Is there an audition process? What are the requirements?
This year we are not holding auditions for the Intensive Bootcamps.
Instead, in the effort to accommodate all feedback and suggestions, all participants will be signing up with a partner of their choice.
Our best recommendation is that your dance level (in Brazilian Zouk) is at the very least Intermediate level dancer (1 year plus).
But wait, how does that work?
Each couple will sign up for the class as partners (1 Leader + 1 Follower) and take this class as partners. In the event that other partners are willing and want to rotate partners, it would be up to the teacher to allow or not partner rotation.
What am I going to learn?
In this intensive training, Alex will share his wealth of knowledge in Brazilian Zouk, offering a unique perspective as one of the founding members of the global Zouk community. Prepare for a deep dive into the latest trends, techniques, moves, and musicality that define an outstanding social dancer.
The training content will focus on achieving smooth and precise connections, especially when it comes to incorporating head movements into safe and comfortable travel sequences. Both followers and leaders will receive tailored drills and detailed breakdowns to grasp how to effectively connect with their dance partner and understand their own body better in any dance scenario.
