Alebrijes: A Dreamworld in Downtown Garland

Step into a world of vibrant imagination as Downtown Garland transforms into an outdoor gallery filled with larger-than-life alebrijes — brilliantly colored spirit creatures handcrafted by celebrated Mexican artists.

From October 8, 2026, through March 29, 2027, visitors are invited to experience an immersive cultural exhibition featuring monumental sculptures and whimsical spirit animals inspired by the rich tradition of Mexican cartonería, the art of papier-mâché sculpture.

Created by master artisans from Mexico City, these fantastical beings combine elements of animals, dreams, mythology, and imagination into breathtaking works of public art.

The exhibition celebrates creativity, storytelling, cultural heritage, and community connection through an unforgettable visual experience.
