Alder Hey's Santa Paddle
About this Event
Join Alder Hey Children's Charity in lighting up the iconic Royal Albert Docks with a convoy of lighted kayaks and canoes for Alder Hey Children’s Charity. The self launch site will be Liverpool Canoe Club- you will be guided to paddle round to Liverpool Watersports Centre to join the rest of the procession which will begin at 4pm. The procession will pass some of Liverpool's most iconic landmarks, including the Queen’s Dock, M&S Arena, Albert Dock and back round.
Register your own kayak, canoe or SUP to take part. We encourage participants to bring all the lights and decorations you need to put on a fantastic display for spectators!
We would love to see as many individuals and watersports groups involved as possible.
Please note: by registering, you are agreeing to supply your own kayak, canoe, pedalo or SUP, and life vest to enter the water. This is for experienced and confident participants only, as you will be responsible for your own safety on the water.

Decorating your boat
Info: You will be given the opportunity to arrive between 1-2pm, to decorate your boat on site. If you're unable to arrive during this allotted hour, we ask that your boat is pre-decorated off site.

Arrival to enter onto water
Info: Once on the water, you will be guided to paddle round to Liverpool Watersports Centre to join the rest of the procession.

Join the procession
Info: Once on the water, you will be guided to paddle round to Liverpool Watersports Centre to join the rest of the procession for 4pm.

Event finish
Info: The event is likely to finish around 5:30pm. Hot drinks and mince pies will be available to all participants.
