Session 1 from 9 am -12 noon:
In this alcohol ink session, participants will learn about the properties of the ink and practice techniques on a nonporous surface. We will paint a floral picture, or two, combining blowing with a straw and brushwork. We will add and subtract alcohol ink to create them. If time allows, we will also paint a landscape inspired piece.
Session 2 from 1-4 pm:
This session advances techniques learned earlier and allows the artist to paint a more complete landscape incorporating background, middle ground and foreground to add depth. We will also explore using the ink in a flowing manner to create an abstract image with added drawn details. The goal is that the artist will leave with at least two pieces of artwork completed in class.
Cost of the workshop is $30.00
