What happens when color, chemistry and creativity collide?
Welcome to Alchemy of Acrylics, an immersive two-day fluid art workshop with artist JBeans at Vision Arts Gallery.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll create your own spectacular 24" × 48" fluid acrylic seahorse while learning the techniques behind JBeans' signature flowing style.
On Day One, you'll design the composition of your seahorse, plan your color palette and determine how your colors will be layered.
Then the excitement begins.
You'll learn how to mix fluid acrylic recipes designed to create different reactions within layers of paint. JBeans will guide you through stretching, moving and manipulating the paint to develop organic cells, incredible textures, flowing ribbons of color and dramatic movement.
Your artwork will remain at the gallery to settle and dry.
On Day Two, you'll return to see how your painting has transformed. You'll refine areas, enhance details and add the finishing touches that bring your seahorse fully to life.
No two paintings will be alike.
Rather than copying the instructor's finished artwork, you'll learn the techniques behind the process and use them to create an original piece in your own colors and style.
No previous fluid-art experience is necessary. Beginners are absolutely welcome.
Your finished artwork will measure an impressive 24" × 48", making this not only a creative experience but a serious statement piece for your home.
