Alchemy Live bring to life the classic era of Dire Straits from the early 80s, playing hits including Sultans of Swing, Money for Nothing, Tunnel of Love, Romeo and Juliet, Brothers In Arms and many more.The band, fronted by authentic-sounding vocalist and superb guitarist Martin Ledger, are united by a common love of the music of Mark Knopfler and recreate his trademark sound as accurately as possible with a painstaking attention to detail.
Collectively the band members have shared stages worldwide with legends such as Mike Rutherford, Mick Hucknell, Roger Taylor and more – these are SERIOUS musicians!
Alchemy Live are all about the music, no lookalike competitions here. It’s all about faithfully recreating the Dire Straits sound & feel, with each song a re-enactment of a specific performance by the original band.
As the name suggests, many of the song versions are taken from the multi-platinum selling double live album Alchemy Live, generally recognised as one of the best live albums ever recorded. Close your eyes and you're right there at the Hammersmith Odeon back in 1983…
The band also revisit other legendary Dire Straits performances such as Live Aid in 1985 and their final tour in 1992 as featured on the final live album On the Night recorded at the historic Nimes Arena in the South of France.
Looking forward to a night of incredible musicianship and all-time classics songs when the band make their ARC debut this spring.
This is an all seated gig with two sets of approximately 50 minutes.
