To celebrate Independent Venue Week 2025, Michael Gallagher and his band will be performing @ The Georgian Theatre, Stockton On Tees
Hailing from the seaside town of Hartlepool in the North East of England, Michael Gallagher’s blend of anthemic indie rock and sharply-observed lyrics deliver social commentary of intimate detail. His love affair with his hometown often comes to the forefront of his songwriting, which tells stories of love, loss, togetherness.
Drawing influence from a wide variety of music, it is the guitar music boom of the 00’s that takes centre stage in Gallaghers music. With comparisons to the likes of The Strokes, The Vaccines and Bob Dylan, Michael’s releases have already received support and acclaim from Radio X, BBC Introducing & CLASH.
Michael’s live show has grown over recent years, performing at festivals including Isle of Wight, Truck Festival and YNot ?, along with sold out dates in Newcastle, Manchester, Sunderland and Hartlepool Town Hall.
