Common Rules (Standard ACO/ACL Style)
1. Team Size: 2 players per team (doubles format).
2. Cost- $20 a team ($10 a person if you do not have a partner, we will pair you up with another single
team person). 12= $240 16=$320
3. Scoring System:
• Cancellation scoring: Only the difference in points is counted each round.
• Bags on the board = 1 point; bags in the hole = 3 points. (NO SCORE ON BOUNCES SHOTS)
• First team to 21 points wins (NO BUST RULE, most tournaments do not require exact 21).
4. Gameplay:
• Each team alternates throws (4 bags per player per round).
• Coin toss decides who throws first.

Tournament Format for 12 or 16 Teams
Double Elimination Bracket
• A team must lose twice to be eliminated.
Structure:
• All teams start in the winner’s bracket.
• Losers drop to the loser’s bracket.
• Final: Winner’s bracket champion vs Loser’s bracket champion (Best out of 3-games).
• Game Count: 12 Teams=Around 22–24 games total. 16 Teams= Around 29-31 games total.
• Duration: 3–4 hours with 2–5 boards.
• Time Saving: Time limits for games 20-minute cap. Each board team will agree on the start time and keep track of time.
• 5 Boards to keep the event efficient.
Format for Most Efficient 12-Team Tournament

• No exact-score rule. ****
• Final: Best out of 3-games**** if the team makes it that is undefeated and gets beat.

1st= 70%
2nd= 20%
