About this Event
Join the Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce for a nonpartisan Statewide Candidate Forum on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Albert Lea High School.
This will include candidates for the following races:
- Governor
- Secretary of State
- Attorney General
- State Auditor
- US Senate
- Congressional District 1
This special community event will bring together candidates seeking statewide and regional offices for a moderated discussion on the issues that matter most to residents, businesses, and communities across southern Minnesota.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear candidates discuss their priorities, leadership approaches, and perspectives on topics impacting our local economy, workforce, education, agriculture, public safety, and quality of life.
As part of the Chamber's commitment to civic engagement and informed decision-making, community members will also have the opportunity to submit questions in advance to help guide the discussion.
Whether you're a business owner, community leader, voter, or simply interested in learning more about the candidates before Election Day, this forum provides a valuable opportunity to become informed and engaged.
