Love to read? Albany Silent Book Group is a unique book club with no assigned reading or required book discussions. It is simply a relaxing, companionable way to share space with like-minded book lovers! For the perfect happy hour for introverts, beginning in September 2024, we meet at Deluxe Brewing, 635 NE Water Avenue in Albany, Oregon, 97321 on the third Saturday of the month, from 1:30-3:00pm. What to expect:
You arrive, grab a refreshment, settle in to read
Enjoy one hour of silent reading time
Stay and socialize, share your book, or, feel free to leave
The monthly events are free; however, we just ask that you support our gracious host venue by buying a drink and/or menu item. Just BYO Book, ebook, audiobook (and headphones), textbook, comic book, newspaper, fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi, etc. and settle in for an hour of peaceful silent reading! At the end of the hour, attendees socialize and share what they’re reading – or not! For you introverts out there, socializing is NOT required! This is a silent book club and all readers are welcome! So, bring a friend or come solo!

The Deluxe Brewing taproom is family and pet-friendly with both indoor and outdoor seating available. The menu features Deluxe Brewing craft beers, Sinister Distilling cocktails, local cider, wines and craft sodas.
